Attorney

graduates who have an undergraduate degree in biology, chemistry,
physics, engineering, or other scientific or technical disciplines
and are interested in growing with us.
Technical
Advisor
In order to fully meet the needs of our clients and provide them
with the high quality of service that they've grown to expect,
Schmeiser, Olsen & Watts enlists the services of skilled Technical
Advisors. Our Technical Advisors are exposed to a wide array of
activities as they assist intellectual property attorneys in patent procurement, prosecution
and litigation. Qualified applicants will hold a Masters or Bachelors
degree in one of the sciences, engineering, or technically related
disciplines. A desire to attend law school is preferred, but not
required. Additionally, the ability to sit for and pass the United
States Patent and Trademark Office exam is strongly recommended.
Law
Clerk
Schmeiser, Olsen & Watts periodically recruits exceptional
individuals while they are attending law school. They must possess
undergraduate degrees in science or engineering and are interested
in eventually becoming patent attorneys. A flexible part-time
schedule is available to qualified candidates during the school
year. Our law clerks are generally trained in the area of patent
procurement, but can gain experience in other aspects of the practice
as well, including certain aspects of litigation. Competitive candidates will have advanced degrees in science or engineering and be enrolled in a local law school.
Paralegals
Schmeiser, Olsen & Watts offers its paralegals competitive
salaries as well as excellent benefits. Paralegals work closely with attorneys and are encouraged to assume
responsibility as it relates to the cases on which they are working.
They are required to be well organized, highly motivated, and
possess extensive experience in or a strong desire to work in
the practice of intellectual property law.
