Howard J. Greenwald is a registered patent attorney at Schmeiser, Olsen & Watts LLP. He has been practicing law since 1966 and has been practicing law in Rochester, New York since 1983. He has obtained more than 400 United States patents for clients, and he has been involved in every aspect of patent preparation, patent prosecution, patent litigation, and patent licensing.
He received his law degree from the Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Brooklyn College. While at the Brooklyn Law School, Howard was elected to the Brooklyn Law Review. He has been admitted to practice before the New York Bar, the U.S. Patent Office Bar and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Between 1966 and 1979 Howard worked in the corporate patent departments of Hooker Chemical Corporation, Celanese Corporation, Velsicol Corporation and the Xerox Corporation. He has been in private practice since 1980. Howard has extensive experience with both patent prosecution and patent litigation as well as the drafting of patentability opinions, infringement opinions and freedom to operate opinions.
